Focus Disability Support Services

Everything we do, in one list.

14 supports, all delivered by our own staff out of Lakemba — not subcontracted to whoever is free that morning. Most people need three or four of them, not all 14.

You don’t need to know the line item. Tell us what the week looks like now and we’ll work out which part of your plan it comes from.

All Focus services

01 — 2 supports

At our Lakemba centre

A place you can walk into, meet the crew, and watch a session before you commit to anything.

  • Day program

A structured day with the same faces each week: cooking in our kitchen, art, music, life skills and getting out.

  • Group centre activities

The group sessions that run from the centre — the social side, shared meals and skills groups.

02 — 6 supports

In your home

The everyday things, done by someone you know, at the times that suit your household.

  • Personal care & home care

Showering, dressing, hygiene and the daily routine — done with dignity, by the same person each week.

  • Daily personal activities

Hands-on help through the parts of the day that are hardest to do alone, at home or out.

  • Meal preparation

Planning, shopping and cooking together where you want to learn, or cooked for you where you don’t.

  • Household tasks

Cleaning, laundry, dishes and the general upkeep that keeps a home liveable.

  • Overnight care

    Active & non-active

A worker in the house through the night — awake and on duty, or sleeping over and there if needed.

  • Lawn mowing & yard care

Mowing, edges, weeding and the garden jobs that get away from people.

03 — 3 supports

Out in the community

Getting out of the house is most of the point. We drive, and we stay for the day.

  • Community participation

Swimming, fishing, the footy field, the library, a coffee out — with transport included.

  • Life skills & community access

Building the skills that make a person less reliant on us: money, travel, cooking, appointments, confidence.

  • Employment assistance

Help looking for work, preparing for it, and staying supported once you have it.

04 — 2 supports

Somewhere to live, and time away

For when the arrangement itself is what needs to change — or when everyone needs a break.

  • Supported Independent Living

    SIL

Living arrangements built around what a person can already do, with support filling only the gaps.

  • Short-term accommodation

    Respite

Time away from home — a genuine break for carers and a change of scene for participants.

05 — 1 support

With your plan

Plan help, from the provider delivering the supports — not a separate invoice from a stranger.

  • NDIS plan & review assistance

Understanding your current plan and funding, preparing for reassessments and reviews, setting and refining goals, gathering documentation and reports, and ongoing check-ins as your needs change.

Paying for it

All of it comes out of your plan.

Everything on this page is charged at the rates in the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits — the same published rates every registered provider works to. We’ll show you which budget each support draws from before anything starts.

What we don’t do

Support coordination
We aren’t support coordinators. If you have one, we work alongside them — and if you need one, ask your NDIS partner or plan manager who’s available locally.
Deciding your NDIS access
Only the NDIA can approve access or write a plan. We can help you prepare, and we’ll tell you honestly what we think of your chances.
Anything we can’t staff well
If we can’t cover a shift reliably, we say no rather than send someone different every week. That’s the whole reason families move to us in the first place.

Where we work.

Sydney’s inner west and south-west, run from Lakemba with respite in Belfield. Just outside this list? Call and ask — we’d rather tell you honestly than stretch too thin.
